The Insurance City Chorus was chartered in 1944 as the Hartford Chapter of the Society For The Preservation And Encouragement Of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. (SPEBSQSA). Our members are from the greater Hartford area and from all walks of life, most with little musical experience. The common ingredients among our members are a love of singing and good fellowship. We are an active chorus meeting throughout the year. We rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7:15 pm to 9:30 pm at St. Helena Church, 30 Echo Lane, West Hartford, CT.
